Chinese Acrobats of Hebei, China

A team of performing acrobats of Hebei, China, performs a hat-juggling act.  This fast paced, precise performance is choreographed in an outstanding routine.  They are a delight to watch and make it look so easy and fun, but that’s because the performers have been raised from childhood to perform this unique act.

Routines like this one are handed down throughout the ages and are part of variety art shows that date back to as early as 221BC.  They originally began in the Emperor’s court in China but over time lost favor, however; it wasn’t until the 1990’s that the art form was packaged as a complete theme show and has been performed on stages throughout the world.
